Becoming a Nonni

On Sunday, I became a Nonni.  (That is my 'grandmother' name.)  I have a lot of mixed emotions, because I don't feel old enough to be a grandmother, but as my husband pointed out to my brother-in-law this weekend, I am young enough to enjoy my grandchildren so I guess that is a plus.

Living simply has taken on a whole new meaning.  It's not just about getting rid of the clutter and not buying stuff, it's about taking each day as it comes and deciding if you want to that day to be full of the business of life or if you want to be able to step back, take a breath, and enjoying the moment.  It's about slowing down our pace of life and enjoying the time that we have on this earth.  When my time on earth is at the end, can I say that I truly had a life I enjoyed or will it just be a life filled with the "business of life"?  I know some things we must deal with but honestly, don't we just sometimes make more work for ourselves with things we "must" do?  I really have been evaluating what my "must do's" are and reorganizing my "bucket list".

Anyway, have a blessed and wonderful weekend.  I know I will.  I have a new grandbaby to enjoy.

Peace,

Southern Ladye
